Shrek the Musical is a vibrant, laugh-out-loud musical comedy that turns the classic fairytale upside down. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, the production received multiple nominations at the prestigious Tony Awards, celebrating its spectacular design, music, and larger-than-life storytelling.
When the selfish Lord Farquaad banishes fairytale creatures from his kingdom of Duloc, they invade the swamp of a solitary ogre named Shrek. Determined to reclaim his peaceful home, Shrek reluctantly agrees to rescue Princess Fiona from a dragon-guarded tower in exchange for Farquaad restoring order to the swamp.
Joined by a loyal — and very talkative — Donkey, Shrek sets off on an unforgettable journey filled with chaos, comedy, and unexpected friendships. Along the way, he encounters magical creatures, outrageous obstacles, and a princess who is far from the typical fairytale heroine. As Fiona hides a surprising secret of her own, Shrek begins to realise that true happiness comes from accepting yourself and others for who they truly are.
